During the Sprint and Tmobile merger, they converted the antennas. A week after the storm, I was back to one bar. I only had 1 bar of signal prior to the storm, but during the storm, I had 4 bars. During Harvey, TMobile was nice enough to allow my T-mobile cellphone to access it. I have a Sprint tower less than 30 ft from my property line. Many possibilities could explain your situation. Really wanted to keep the TMHI but not when the speeds are that slow. Glad we didn't cancel our cable internet. They changed the story and said we were in a 5G triangle, then changed it again stating that the tower we are connected to is a LTE only tower. I understand QCI levels and worked for Sprint/Tmo for almost 12 years. When I asked why did the data on our devices still worked fine they had no answer. We cancelled ours last week because the rep said that the tower was undergoing maintenance and it would not be complete until 2Q 2023. The data on our phones worked great all while this was happening. The data would come to a crawl only pulling down 300kbps and fail on the upload. Our gateway would drop signal for 5 seconds then it would come back online causing all TV's to buffer. We signed up back in May and things were great! Pulling down 750Mbps during peak hours. Pretty much the same thing happened to us. I like T-Mobile in general, but this has really made me question why. I wonder if the local tower operators even know there has been a problem reported. I've heard the "Upgrading the towers" crap so much, I truly believe it's just a script they use to placate upset customers. While I felt my support guy was overall very good, he didn't seem to have any tools to really communicate with the local tower operators. Something obviously happened to the tower that is servicing our area, and there seems no way to get anybody to acknowledge this.

We had decent service on two separate gateways for over 2 years, and then it just disappears at exactly the same time. So I asked him what I should do, and he told me I should probably cancel the service and wait until some unspecified time in the future and try again. He said something about data prioritization, which given the area I live in, is not likely a problem. I asked why my phone was still getting decent internet speeds. I asked him why it was working fine before and just stopped. This morning on a callback from a T-Mobile expert, he basically told me that there was nothing that they could do, and my "local" towers were scheduled for upgrades in 3Q of 2023. I embarked on a tech support journey which included T-Mobile sending me a replacement Gateway which did the exact same thing. The trash cans started displaying an 'X' with a yellow circle through it, indicating no connection. Almost 3 weeks ago, both my T-Mobile internet connections went dead at exactly the same time.
